About Us

What is The Comm?

Knighton and District Community Centre, to give it its full name – though it is commonly known as The Comm – is THE HUB for so many community activities as well as being a great venue for parties, weddings, live music, stage productions, exhibitions, meetings and more.

The centre hosts Knighton Library in smart new premises, is a hub for volunteer coordination in the Knighton area, has a community café every Tuesday morning and has regular drop-ins for the public to seek advice on housing issues, to meet their local police and more.

Our main hall can hold 300 and has a large stage suitable for drama productions and top-class live music shows. A moveable wall allows the rear third of the hall to be separated to make a separate bar and function room. Adjoining the main hall is a smaller hall suitable for events involving up to 50 people, the town’s library, a casual seating area, kitchen and our “dressing room”, which doubles as a classroom and small meeting room. All, except for the library, of course, are available for hire separately if desired and at very competitive prices.
