After a weekend with two big parties, a YFC pantomime and two karatesessions, finally got rubbish cleared and tables and chairs back inplace literally minutes before the art classes started this morning.Phew!
And so a new week starts…Today its art all day and then badminton clubtonight.Tuesday cooking class in morning, Slimming World and fitnessclasses in the afternoon and evening (I must go along one week and seewhat an “Insanity” session actually looks like!).Wednesdaytheres boxercise and kettlebells in the reynolds Room and badminton inthe hall.Thursday leg club and of course karate.Friday we beginweekly afternoon sessions with Mid Powys MIND after which we have toquickly get the reynolds Room set up for the screening of “Mr Turner” -sure to be a packed house…
And so we get to another weekend. This time theres the Community Market on Saturday morning March 14thwith live music in the cafe, while as usual theres karatein the Reynolds Room. Then a quick transformation of the hall is required in time for the KnightonSilver Band Spring Concert, with the Rhayader Male Voice Choir guesting.
And the weekend rounds off with a “Green Cabaret” in the bar from 8pmon March 15th.
Running the Community Centre really is a 7-day-a-weekcommitment – and if not quite 52 weeks a year (Christmas week isusually quiet apart for occasional vandalism) then very nearly.Ifanyone out there fancies the challenge of helping to keep open thetowns most important and heavily used community resource, youd be madevery welcome!
