A Christmas of carols and vandalism

The Community Centres final pre-Christmas event was of course the Food and Craft Market on December 22nd.With mulled wine on offer to raise funds for the centre and carols from the quite wonderful Llanfair Singers, it was a great event and we packed up for the Christmas holiday on a bit of a high.
Sadly all wentdecidedly downhill on Boxing day morning when, on my morning dog-walking, I found the car park outside the Centre littered with smashed roof tiles.A closer look at the Centre revealed where they had come from and on going inside I found the rain was already pouring through the ceiling and making puddles on the hall floor.
I can now report that the County Council have saved the day once again, their workmen having replaced 15 tiles this week. Also, the rain having eased in recent days, the puddling on the hall floor has been less than we feared – so work next week to sand and reseal the halls wooden dance floor will go ahead as planned.
The members of the Management Committee were disheartened to say the least by the vandalism but then heartened by the local communitys expressions of sympathy and outrage at the mindlessness of those responsible for the damage.
Finally, If anyone has any information that can lead to identification of the culprits, please help us and the whole community by getting in touch.
