Before last nights Borderlines Film Festival screening of In Between, we took a few minutes out to say a huge public thank you to Dave and Tom of Knighton Live Promotions, a short lived local group set up to organise live rock nights at the centre. After two gigs the group was forced to call it a day and the decision was made to donate the money raised to the Community Centre. To quote the group, “Today we handed over our remaining funds as a donation to the charity that is the wonderful Knighton Community Centre. Run by a small group of dedicated volunteers who really do put Knighton first.” We say thanks to the KLP group for their handsome donation of a little over £500 – and we just wish they had been able to bring more live music to Knighton.
