It is inspired by interviews with Helen’s neighbours in her local community of Dalston, East London, where many different cultures co-exist, and tells stories in song around ideas of roots, displacement, and belonging.Helen Chadwick Song Theatre has performed at the Royal Opera House, for Amnesty International’s and Peace Brigades International’s birthday celebrations, as well as international festivals in Europe and Latin America.The Knighton show will feature a trio version of the original show.
Helen, as founder of the mass choir charity project Sing for Water, has helped raise over £800,000 for water projects at WaterAid, through projects led by choir leaders all over the UK, Europe and Australia, so any profit will go to this charity.
