The Community Centre bars final musical offering before Christmas – on Sunday 20th December -promises to be a lively, fun evening, featuring Carnivale Republic, an electro-acoustic quartet fusing elements of swing, world rhythms, improvisation and an exquisite melodic sensibility (it says here). Before that, at the last Community Market of the year, on December 19th, we welcome back Herefordshires finest purveyors of old-style Americana, The Fordsons.This 5 piece bands infectious combination of fiddle, mandolin, banjo, double bass, guitar and harmony singing was a real hit when they played the market early this year so its great to welcome them back.Theyll be playing around 10.00am onwards.Where else could you do Christmas shopping for unique gifts and local produce in a warm, dry environment and then relax with a coffee and listen – or even have a dance – to live music before ambling happily home with not a traffic jam in sight?
