Coming on September 9th and put together by the Knighton Refugee Support Group, the “Poetry Marathon” looks like something genuinely different and well worth supporting. It runs all day, starting alongside the next Community Market and then carrying on into the evening, when there will be a bar. Lots of poets from around the UK will be in town and performing their work – and its free, though the group hope those attending will give generously to support their work with refugees.The group will also be running a book stall selling the work of the visiting poets as well as books on refugee issues.
