Festival Coordinator (Management Commitee)

I organise the annual Knighton Literary Festival on behalf of the Community Centre focussing on local Welsh writers, poets and musicians as well as international speakers. I created a gallery space to showcase local artists in the Comm atrium. I also help with promotional material for the Flicks in the Sticks film club held at the Comm.

I have lived in or around Knighton since 1989 raised my family and have established by upholstery business
I have been involved in the Knighton and District Twinning Association for 10 years as well as being a town councillor for 3 years.
I really enjoy being involved in our community centre and have recently taken on a lead role in Knighton Flix
I can often be found helping out behind the bar.

Youth and Children’s Services Coordinator

POSITION: Youth and Children’s Services Coordinator Knighton Family Centre and Youth Drop-In Sessions  Core hours: 12 hours per week, split between the two services, as agreed with the Community Centre Management Committee School term-time, weekly.  School Holidays, individual sessions, as required.

Wage: £15.00 per hour

Garden Coordinator – 10 Hours/Week [Fulfilled]

We have obtained short-term funding to develop our community garden, especially for children's groups through the Social Value Forum and would like to appoint a Garden Coordinator.

Wage: £10.50 per hour

Caretaker – 10 Hours/Week [Fulfilled]

Knighton and District Community Centre are looking for a Caretaker to join our friendly and vibrant Community Centre.

Wage: £9.36 per hour

Youth Work Positions [Fulfilled]

Knighton Town Council and Knighton Community Centre are delighted to be successful in obtaining funding to kickstart the youth service in Knighton.

Wage: £10.50 per hour
