The Comm Staff

My role at The Comm is Informal Volunteering Officer for the Helping Hands from The Comm project (a pilot project for ad hoc informal volunteering for a consortium led by Ponthafren - there are more Informal Volunteering Officers spread throughout Powys).

My target is to recruit 70 volunteers by the end of January 2025 to help beneficiaries (people who need short-term help following illness (mental or physical). I am at the Volunteer Drop-in every Tuesday between 10 am - 12 noon.

My role is to be available to help with information and advice on a varity of subjects for example form filling, links to CAB, signposting if we can not help at the centre. I work Tuesday and Thursday mornings - no appoitment needed.

Annie is the Volunteer coordinator and is also a volunteer with a number of local organisations. Funded by PAVO to run the Volunteer Hub based in the Community Centre Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays recruiting volunteers for all groups in Knighton.

Hi I'm Ceri and you'll find me in the front office at the Community Centre. My role can be anything from bookings and hiring, putting on events and making sure the day to day running of the centre goes smoothly.
