KnightonCommunity Market celebrated a rather special anniversary last week.Inaddition to the usual variety of stalls, shoppers were treated toextraordinary live music fromTrovatori, a duo whose mix of grand opera, love songs and classics fromthe shows completely bowled over stallholdersand shoppers alike. All of this was organised to celebrate the factthat on October 11th David and Leonie Miller were bringing theirwonderful cafe to Knighton Community Market for the 100th time!Notonly did David and Leonie lay on some special music for theoccasion, but they also baked and gave everyone present a slice of averyspecial anniversary cake free of charge.
The success of theirefforts over the years is demonstrated at every market by the numbers ofregulars whomeet friends and neighbours over a drink and a snack, whatever theweather outside. Thank you David and Leonie forhelping make Knighton Community Market a little bit special.

Thenext market takes place on October 25th when stallholders will beputting on lots of special attractions, not to mention some sillycostumes, to celebrate Halloween.A childrens craft workshop will beheld in the reynolds Room where participants can have fun making allmanner of spooky things, including masks to enter in the maskcompetition at the end of the morning.Masks made at home can bebrought in on the day and there will also be a prize for the bestHalloween fancy dress.
