On Tuesday September 6th members of the management committee of Knighton Community Centre welcomed Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn, who was visiting town specially to see the plans for the centre’s transformation into a Community Hub and to discuss how the police could support developments if the current bid for Big Lottery funding proves successful.Community Centre Chairperson Karen Plant was pleased to discover that Dafydd’s vision of a police force more accessible and at the heart of the community struck a chord with the planned Hub concept .Pictured outside the centre are, from left, Karen Plant, Dafydd Llywelyn, Knighton Mayor Sally Vaughan and management committee members Dave Alker and Liz Reynolds.
