For your seasonal entertainment on Sunday, December 4th, Knighton Community Centre brings you acclaimed traditional folk ensemble The Mellstock Band with their special show “THE CHRISTMAS HEARTH”. Featuring songs, instrumentals and spoken word, all in celebration of the Christmas Season.THE PERFORMANCE WILL FEATURE AUTHENTIC INSTRUMENTS SUCH AS CONCERTINA, VIOLIN, OBOE AND SERPENT,
PLUS COSTUMES REPRESENTING THE RURAL SUNDAY BEST OF THE ERA OF THOMAS HARDY.
As the centre is in the throes of clearing out in preparation for our closure for refurbishment, the show will take place in the nearby Drill Hall.
