To support K&DCC Administrator & others in planning, organising, promoting and delivering social events within the Community Centre

About the opportunity

Role Title: Event Planning Volunteer
Hours of work: Flexible
Base: Knighton & District Community Centre (K&DCC)
Accountable to: Ceri Brown

 

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • To read & familiarise yourself with K&DCC volunteer policies and guidelines (located on K&DCC website – volunteer section/paper copies available)
  • To sign the volunteer agreement
  • To attend a volunteer induction
  • To attend bi-monthly supervision (not mandatory)
  • To attend event planning meetings
  • To take on delegated tasks when needed
  • To help K&DCC Administrator planning, organising, promoting and delivering social events within the Community Centre
  • To socialise with customers if appropriate

 

Personal qualities/skills required

  • Comfortable working on their own and from home
  • Working knowledge and experience of IT packages
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Reliable
