About the opportunity
Role Title: Soup from the Hub Volunteer Driver
Hours of work: Thursdays 11.30 – 12.30pm weekly, fortnightly, or monthly
Base: Knighton & District Community Centre (K&DCC)
Accountable to: Annie England
Responsibilities/Tasks
- To read & familiarise yourself with KDCC volunteer policies and guidelines (located on K&DCC website – volunteer section/paper copies available)
- To sign the volunteer agreement
- To attend a volunteer induction
- To attend bi-monthly supervision (not mandatory)
- To deliver soup lunches in a safe and hygienic manner
- To socialise with customers if appropriate
- If volunteer is concerned about customers welfare then a member of staff needs to be notified
immediately
Personal qualities/skills required
- Comfortable working on their own
- A full drivers licence and access to car
- Good listening and communication skills
- Friendly & patient attitude
- Reliable
